Live-edge Desk

This project consists of a custom solid walnut desk with a live-edge top and a connected hardwood bookshelf. Both pieces are designed and built in-house as examples of our hardwood furniture and joinery work.

The desk is made from solid walnut and features a live-edge surface to retain the natural contour of the wood. The base uses angled, mid-century modern inspired support, providing stability while keeping the profile visually light.

The bookshelf is constructed from solid oak with a darker stain to complement the walnut desk. It includes open sides, geometric detailing, and exposed joinery elements. The unit provides multiple shelves suitable for books and display items while maintaining an open, architectural feel.

Together, the desk and bookshelf demonstrate our capabilities in solid hardwood construction, custom joinery, and hand finishing. All dimensions, materials, and details can be adapted to suit specific client requirements
