Die Wrench

A die wrench tool used for external thread cutting with stainless steel body and mild steel fluted handle. Inspiration for this design came from a well known American metrology tool manufacturer and their range of tap handles.

The wrench supports both 1-inch hex and round dies, accommodating thread cutting up to 1/2 inch. A captive high carbon steel plunger engages the die to hold it securely in place. The plunger is driven through the fluted handle and returned by an internal spring, allowing the die to be locked and released without additional fasteners.
A maker’s mark is machined into the reverse side of the tool as a permanent identifier. The wrench is paired with a solid oak storage box, machined specifically to protect and present the tool when not in use.

These tools demonstrate our capability to machine stainless steel (a notoriously difficult material) with our custom made in-house CNC machine.
